The Mystery Of Sleep

To you, during sleep your eyes are closed. The body is "switch off" like an electrical appliance. Conscious powers become weakened, and you lose control of many of your faculties. The mind no longer controls the heart, and you no longer think before you speak or act. The body becomes "lively lifeless." *But in the absence of the conscious while one is asleep, the subconscious emerges.* The Soul's essential powers are in fact strengthened and more apparent. The body may be weak, yet, for the soul, it is a time of rejuvenation. At that time it is trying to communicate to the outside world. *At that point, it is united with its Source above and spiritually refreshed and recharged.* Though many aren't united with Him or His ministering angels, but with their master, the devil. Wait for the other part this night! Good afternoon! *Apostle Julius Ikhide Etaifo* NOGM LiveOutLoud www.liveoutloudng.blogspot.com

What is God’s Time?

Many Christians are fond of saying,
"I am waiting for God's time?"
Some don't know when it's fear, faithlessness or incapacity that is speaking in them. Without proper understanding, they wait throughout lifetime without accomplishing anything, when they could have achieve something great or greater. Some would say,
"Holy Spirit will speak to you when it's God's time."
Very true! But, how can one draw the line and avoid being stuck in-between intuition, instincts and mere hitch? I often asked, how do we know God's time? How do we know this is "God's time" for us to throw our net into the deep? How do we know it's not God's time too? It is widely believed that because an attempt or a Business plan wasn't successful, it isn't God's time...how true is that? If it were successful, it would be a different remark. All the time, men associate slow growth, failure and crises in any of their endeavours to that it isn't God's time and plan. And when things go smoothly, we associate that quickly to favour and God's time manifestation. One thing you should know is that men are fond of associating events with something (a reason) with reasons best to known to every individual. You can ask us. You should also know this: every decision is ours. They are your choices. So whatever outcomes are your making. Then what is God's Time? This made me to do this summary. I believe God has a specific calling for each one of us. Just like everyone, I believe God has created you unique with special gifts, talents, and strengths. He has allowed you to have various life experiences. I also believe He has placed you in different location, time and space in this globe in order to fulfill His plans and purposes here. However you fulfill His plans and purposes is up to you. The timing, the magnitude, the blissful experiences that comes with it are up to you. Before I go on, do you know if Jesus was born in this present generation, he would not have lived up to 30 years before starting his ministry. This Z generation children are wonderful! Their level of exposure... Hence the age and time would have change. This leads me to say, God's time is anytime. I will rephrase, God's time is that time or period of your life when you are over these 4 steps. If you successfully climb these 4 steps this year, His time for you will be this year. But, if a man can't get it right in 6 years, it will take that 6 years... First step: When you recognize God’s timing is not your timing: I think one of the most challenging things we have to grapple with as believers is the concept of God’s timing. We need to understand His timing is not our own. God operates in the realm of eternity. Eternity has no time constraints. God is outside time and space. Time isn't a factor to Him. The only factor He considers is the man's readiness. Have you gotten to that state when the new wine can be poured into your "new" wine skin? Have the shafts been removed from this you? I will stop here because this leads us to the next step. In our modern age you are use to instantaneous results. When you don’t see God working fast enough in your life doubt can enter your mind. I know it has for me. You may wonder if God has forgotten about you. Or perhaps if it's His time. Or perhaps question His calling for your life. The temptation here is to quit too soon. Many will park their nets and go home. If Peter and the others had gone home early, they wouldn't have met Jesus. That means they tarried on with no catch — casting their nets into the sea all night hopefully until dawn. If this is resonating with you at all, I want to remind you that God loves you and He has a plan for your life. Don’t grow weary because things are not going fast enough for you or exactly how you planned. Instead press into God. Lean not on your own understanding, but rather ask the Holy Spirit to give you wisdom, guidance and direction. Remember what Jeremiah the prophet said,
"I know the purposes and plans I have for you says the Lord, plans of a future and a hope."
Jeremiah 29:11. Second Step: Gain a spiritual perspective: Here are some important questions to ask in order to gain a greater spiritual perspective: What does God want me to know? What is God doing in my life? Where is He working greatest? What is He teaching me? Does He wants to give me a new vision? Does God desires to deepen my faith? Have I silenced my mind and spirit long enough to sense His direction or calling? Where do I need to grow? What does He wants to reveal to me during this season about areas of needed growth?
(Note this: God's time will never come if He desires to pour a 100litres of fresh wine but the capacity of man's vessel is 2litres. He will push such man to expansion and growth before He pours)
At this point, continue earnestly in prayer.
"Show me Your ways, O Lord; teach Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; on You I wait all the day."
Psalm 25:4 Stepping back and gaining an objective view of what is happening in your life is very important and can be very beneficial too. Without any aorta of doubt, you need to take a thoughtful spiritual assessment of your life. When you do, you can gain great clarity, peace of mind, and insight. Your eyes will be open to the errors that led to crash of the first attempt and open to the opportunities and possibilities ahead. At this juncture, you will have to give yourself to the heart of God as you find answers through the help of the Holy Spirit. Third Step: When your faith and trust is boosted: God is a jealous God. He desires our whole heart. He wants us wholeheartedly trusting Him. This is important because often we want to place our trust in tangible things, people, or our own experience and accomplishments. At this step, when you realized your faith, trust, loved, desire to act and launch into the deep irrespective of the deficiencies or abundance, this is God's time. Read Hebrews 11 again. Those men acted out of faith. They launched deep. Hebrews 11: 1–end, "...Do I need to give you more examples? I don’t have enough time to tell you about Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel, and the prophets. All of them had great faith. And with that faith they defeated kingdoms. They did what was right, and God helped them in the ways he promised. With their faith some people closed the mouths of lions. And some were able to stop blazing fires. Others escaped from being killed with swords. Some who were weak were made strong. They became powerful in battle and defeated other armies..." God wants you to learn to place your complete trust in Him. Somehow when you get to a place where you are utterly dependent on Him, He begins to move mightily in your life. He wants you to know that in your weakness, He becomes your strength, in your uncertainty He becomes your peace, in your wavering and unknowing He reveals Himself strong. Read:
"For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him.", 2 Chronicles 16:9.
God's time is that time when you fulfill those steps. When you are ready, He is ready. When you get there, He is there. If you sense that God is calling you to something, don’t give up too soon even if it crashed and failed. He did not deposit dreams and callings into your hearts not to bring them into fruition: be patient, ask important questions, and have faith. Breathing of your mind

With every breath, we inhale that which we need, and exhale what we don't need.
Inhaling what serves us and releasing what doesn't serve us.

Let your life be like your breath—
—Take in things that serve you and
—Let go of things that don't.

Remember this always, if we hold onto toxic people, past events, habits, beliefs, superstitions, etc we will poison ourselves, spiritually, mentally, and emotionally — the same way we would do physically if we held onto the carbon dioxide that our bodies let go of with every breath.

Ephesians 4:22-24, "You were taught,...to put off your old self,...to be made new in the attitude of your minds;...to put on the new self,..."

Every breath is a new opportunity to let go and step back into the infinite field of potentiality and opportunities that this new moment brings you.

Before you sleep tonight, release your mind of those "carbon dioxide", and take in those "oxygen" so that you can have an awesome, inspiration-filled sleep as His angels minister to your soul while the flesh sleep!

The soul that still hold onto the old self, thoughts, beliefs, superstitions,...will be unable to connect to Divinity signals.

Let go of what was,
Accept what is, and
Embrace what will be.

Have an awesome night rest!

Mirror Your Soul To Become Better

There is no coming to consciousness without pain. Even there was no Salvation without the cross which Jesus carried for us.

People will do anything, no matter how absurd, in order to avoid facing their own Soul.

No one would want to face their very inner self— the true nature of their soul.

No one would care enough to mirror them to you and stay with you when you are vexed, except special ones.

We all have an ideal image we sell out to people. But, when we truly mirror ourselves we see who we truly are and do some little changes so as to have that perfect union between what we sell out and who we are inside. That will go along way in helping us in our relationship with God and man.

Sadly, many hate the mirror. We need the mirrors most times. For if we judge ourselves now, we won't be judged.

Most times you may never know the darkness and garbage inside of you until it is mirrored before you. Though painful, but don't feel bad because it's necessarily.

That if not uprooted, may stand against you in judgement.

Note: One does not become enlightened and perfect in Christ by imagining figures of light and living based on outward display of the soul, but by making the darkness, garbage, debris, hardness, adamic nature inward conscious and nullified.

That was why David always prayed for the Lord to search him and give him a broken heart and spirit.

You May Never Know, Until It Is Exposed.

Our Egypt Today

The people of Israel never got used to Egypt when they were enslaved by the new Pharaoh. They never felt they belonged there. They always believed there will redemption and exodus someday.

Also, they never said, "They are the masters and we are the slaves and that’s the way it is." They refused to accept their condition as destiny and permanent.

So, when Moses came and told them that they were going to leave, they believed him. *Exodus became easier.* They never allowed their state of slavery to cloud their mindset.

Today, everyone has their Egypt.
You’ve got to know who you are and what are your limitations. Yeah, your limitations.

Do you know, heaven forbid to make peace with those limitations and problems?

This was what Jesus the Christ revealed to us. And it's easier now that we have the presence of the Most High God in us.

Identify that Egypt today.
Refuse to be cowed and limited by it.
Change your mindset.
Your exodus has been established already for you.
Step out into your promise land.
Live free and live the Gods life.

Note:
The soul within you knows no limits. The devil only works with your mind to create that limitation.

Christ has paid it all!

Don't be the reason for your limitations.

Marriage Isn't For You

Marriage isn’t for you.

You don’t marry to make yourself happy, you marry to make someone else happy. More than that, your marriage isn’t for yourself; you’re marrying for a family.

Not just for the in-laws and all of that nonsense, but for your future children. Who do you want to help you raise them? Who do you want to influence them?

Marriage isn’t for you.

It’s not about you.

Marriage is about the person you married.

No, a true marriage (and true love) is never about you.

It’s about the person you love—their wants, their needs, their hopes, and their dreams. Selfishness demands, “What’s in it for me?”, while Love asks, “What can I give?”

We have All

“You are a volume in the divine book,

a mirror to the power that created the universe,

whatever you want, ask it of yourself;

whatever you're looking for can only be found

inside of you”

*Rumi*

You have all things!

I didn't say, 'you can have all things...'

But,

You have!

You have all things already, since the best thing in heaven has been given to you!

Romans 8:23 "Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit,..."

That best 'thing' is Christ!

Romans 8:32, "He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?"

God's delight, ASK, SEEK and KNOCK - and all shall be GIVEN, FOUND and OPEN!

You are a child of the Most High!

Enjoy!

PRAYER: More than a Tool for Self-Expression

Prayer is more than a tool for self-expression.

It is more than a means to get God to give us what we want.

The truth is: PRAYER is a means GOD uses to give us what he wants and to teach us to want what he wants.

Holy Scripture in general teaches us who God is and what he wants to give.

People complained that the words of prayers done in a fellowship or the liturgy did not express what they felt. Of a truth, they weren’t supposed to express what you felt; you were supposed to feel what the words expressed. This mistake has led many to ignore some prayer points and bible passages (many choose the Bible passages that express how they feel and what they want)

To pray with the Words from the Bible, is to be taught by the Bible to pray and to learn to want and feel what the Bible expresses—to say what it means and mean what it says.

Those who have practiced this kind of prayer over time make a surprising discovery: As they learn to feel what the Bible expresses; their hearts and desires are enlarged. *They find that what they once regarded as strong desires were really weak, puerile little wishes, debased inklings of what is good.*

Of course! Would not the God who made us in his own image understand better than we ever could what we really need? And shouldn’t we ask him for it?

Let's consider C. S. Lewis' statement:

"Indeed, if we consider the unblushing promises of reward and the staggering nature of the rewards promised in the Gospels, it would seem that Our Lord fi nds our desires not too strong, but too weak. We are half-hearted creatures, fooling about with drink and sex and ambition when infi nite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at the sea."

We are far too easily pleased. We easily carried away by our self desires and wants. Many preachers have made us believe that we can get what we want in life at any time we speak. That isn't through. If it happens for them as they say, I argue not with them but Christ said, "many shall say we did miracles and signs and wonders in your name...and God shall say, 'depart from me you workers of iniquity.' "

Though you get results as you wish, at any time, but they don't implies that they were God's. The devil can be very crafty and cunning.

Someone said, "The best part of prayer is who you pray to.

The feelings you get when you receive Answers to your Prayers are nothing compare to what you receives when you intimate with the Answerer.

Spend enough time with Jesus, and you’ll start to look and think and act like Jesus. Seeing is becoming.

The church father Irenaeus said, “The glory of God is man fully alive, and the life of man is the vision of God.

It’s true: God is never more glorified than when we come alive to the vision of God.

See Good on People and Rejoice Everyday

*See Good in People and Rejoice Everyday*

Everyone has good in them. Irrespective of how far they have gone into darkness, a beam or ray of goodness is still in them which haven't been rekindled or allowed to dominate their being.

Granted, when you encounter or meet people on daily basis, their goodness or bad-ness have a long way to influence or affect your being and your entire day/week can either be gloomy/blue or cheerful/brighten.

This totally depends on what you choose to see and receive from them.

*KEY LESSON*
Discern the good that can undoubtedly be found within each person, each thing and each event;
And cherish that good and allow it to shine.
*In this way, in all your ways and days, you will rejoice.*

Why allow the bad of others to "blue" your ways?

*Pick the Good and enjoy*

Be careful of how much you flaunt

It is better to be seen as not growing but secretly growing underground, than to be publicize and give others the zeal or room to monitor and strategize.

The passage below should explain better.

'At that time Marduk-Baladan son of Baladan king of Babylon sent Hezekiah letters and a gift, because he had heard of Hezekiah’s illness. Hezekiah received the envoys and showed them all that was in his storehouses—the silver, the gold, the spices and the fine olive oil—his armory and everything found among his treasures. There was nothing in his palace or in all his kingdom that Hezekiah did not show them...Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah, "Hear the word of the LORD: The time will surely come when everything in your palace, and all that your fathers have stored up until this day, will be carried off to Babylon. Nothing will be left, says the lord..." '— 2 Kings 20:12-18. Isaiah 38.

Have you ever wondered why Jerusalem was besieged, destroyed and the remnants taken into captivity in Babylon? You would say, it was because they (Zedekiah and Jehoiachin) did evil in the eyes of the LORD, (2 Kings 23:36-37;24:8-9,18-19). It wasn't that.

Rehoboam and other Kings of Judah (1 Kings 14:22;15:3; 2 Kings 8:18;16:2;...) long before them did evil too but were not taken into exile because God was merciful on Judah. Others Kings like Asa, Jehoshaphat, Joash, Azariah, and Hezekiah restored Judah during their reigns. And with them, God kept the promise He made with King David.

"Nevertheless, for the sake of his servant David, the LORD was not willing to destroy Judah. He had promised to maintain a lamp for David and his descendants for ever." — 2 Kings 8:19.

What led to the captivity and the destruction of Judah and Jerusalem was because of the silly mistake of King Hezekiah which was stemmed from pride and man's desire for approval and glory. Take your time to read the Bible passages—2 Kings 20:12-18 or Isaiah 39.

Hezekiah showed his treasures and armour, and other proofs of his wealth and power to envoys or well-wishers from the Babylonian King, who heard of his illness and miraculous healing. He exposes himself because of pride.

What stops you from staying low key?

What stops you from shifting the focus from the success you just attained to God?

If it stays underground would the success not still be success?

People like to flaunt...well that is humans for you. They seek approval and applause from men. "Men, need to know that I have arrived now."

Remember, the battle of each day is enough for one day; don't add more...!

Apply wisdom!
